Meet my therapeutic Goldendoodle dog, Zoe.
I often bring in Zoe when working with children and adults (provided of course that my clients feel comfortable with the idea). Zoe is a calm, loving pup and she helps people to relax and to feel safe, especially when working on difficult or painful issues.
Research indicates that pets are good for us. Healthcare professionals have recommended animals for psychological and emotional support for decades. Studies show that pet owners live longer lives and experience less stress than non-pet owners.
There is a reason that dogs are referred to as a man’s best friend, or a woman’s, or a kid’s.
