I have been working with individuals and families for over 21 years. I started my career as a Psychotherapist, evolved into a College Planner and furthered my studies to become a Divorce and Family Mediator. My formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University and a Master of Social Work from New York University. My informal education has been so rich, filled with lessons and life experiences from the hundreds of clients I have worked with over the past two decades. My children as well continue to teach me things everyday and they keep me “on my toes.”
My enthusiasm for my job is evident to every client I see. I am energetic, motivated and so eager to help every client that walks through my office door. Helping people grow emotionally, academically and personally is the greatest gift I have and I love to share it.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outside, especially in the warm weather. I love to walk, swim (if the water is warm enough), hike and connect with friends and family. I have two sons, a daughter and a therapeutic Goldendoodle dog named Zoe. I often use her in my therapy work with children and adults. I believe she helps people relax and feel safe, especially when working on difficult or painful issues.
I am a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have maintained a full-time private practice since 1994.
